Yield Strength is in beta
Email works, and a person reads it. yieldstrength-support@northlinestandard.com — usually a reply within a few days. Yield Strength is built by one person, so it won't be instant, but nothing goes unread.
This is pre-release software
Yield Strength is being tested before it's released. That's not a disclaimer for form's sake — it changes what you should expect:
- Things will break. That's what the beta is for. A bug you hit and don't report is a bug that ships.
- Features will change. Something you rely on may look different in the next build, or go away.
- Your training data is real and we treat it that way — it syncs and it persists. But keep your own record of anything you'd hate to lose. We won't wipe accounts casually, and we'll warn you by email first if a change ever requires it.
- Nobody is charged anything during the beta. There's no payment in the app at all right now.
Getting in
Access is by invitation through TestFlight, Apple's app for distributing pre-release software. If you signed up on the home page, you're on the list — invitations go out in batches, so it may be a little while.
When your invitation arrives:
- Install TestFlight from the App Store — it's free, and made by Apple.
- Open the invitation email on your iPhone and tap the link. It has to be the same email address you signed up with.
- Tap Accept, then Install. Yield Strength appears on your home screen like any other app.
You'll need an iPhone running a current version of iOS. If the invitation link says it's expired or already used, email us and we'll send another.
Reporting a problem
The best way is from inside TestFlight, because it attaches the exact build, your iOS version and your device automatically — details that are tedious to ask for and easy to get wrong.
- Take a screenshot while the problem is on screen (press the side button and volume-up together), then tap the preview that appears in the corner and choose Share Beta Feedback. You can draw on the screenshot to point at what's wrong.
- Or open the TestFlight app, tap Yield Strength, then Send Beta Feedback. Use this one for something that isn't on screen right now — "it lost my sets from Tuesday".
Plain email is fine too. What helps most, in any channel: what you did, what happened, and what you expected instead. "The coach gave me a warm-up in kilos when my profile is in pounds" is worth more than a page of description.
If the app crashed
Crash reports are sent automatically the next time you open the app, so you don't need to do anything — but it's still worth telling us what you were doing when it happened. The report says where the code failed; only you can say what you were trying to do.
Your account and your data
Deleting everything
In the app: Profile → Delete Account. It removes your account and your training history from our systems. It's immediate and it can't be undone, so export or screenshot anything you want to keep first.
Leaving the beta is separate — delete the app, or tap Yield Strength in TestFlight and choose to stop testing. That removes the app, not your data. Do both if you want both gone.
Signing in
Sign-in is a six-digit code sent to your email, or Sign in with Apple. There's no password to lose. If the code doesn't arrive, check spam first — and if it's still missing, email us, because that's a bug we want to know about.
What we collect
The privacy policy covers this in full, including crash diagnostics and the AI provider that generates the coaching text. The short version: we don't sell your data and we don't use it for advertising.
Not medical advice
Yield Strength's coaching is training guidance, not medical advice, and it is not a substitute for a physician or other qualified professional. Lifting carries risk. Talk to a doctor before starting or changing a training programme, especially if you have an injury or a medical condition.
